“Butterflies
of the Northeast” offers enchanting images of these lepidopterans throughout their life cycles. Audiences learn the distinguishing characteristics of butterfly families and of selected species within each family in this ninety-minute power point presentation. Ranges, habitats, seasons of activity, host plants, behavior, and special adaptations for survival are also discussed. Questions and comments are welcome throughout the presentation. Handouts with information about butterfly clubs, books, and websites as well as instructions for attracting butterflies are made available at the conclusion of the program.
